Manhattan Makes Men's Basketball Leadership Change; Stores Named Interim Head Coach

Manhattan College men's basketball announced today that head coach Steve Masiello is leaving the school after 11 years.

He will be replaced for the 2022-23 season by RaShawn Stores ’15 ’17 (M.S.) who will serve as interim head coach.

Stores, 30, is in his sixth year with the Manhattan Men's Basketball staff, and his second as an Associate Head Coach.

A two-year team captain, he helped the Jaspers to back-to-back MAAC Championships in 2014 and 2015 and 71 total wins.

Marianne Reilly, director of athletics for Manhattan College, said, “We thank coach Masiello for his service and wish him well.

As we look to build successful teams for the future — and with recruiting season beginning soon and coach Masiello’s contract ending in April 2023 — we determined that it was the right time to begin rebuilding from the top down.”
